Wakeboarding equipment and park shoes 2019!
Se déroulait le plus grand salon nautique du monde, Surf Expo à Orlando du 6 au 9 septembre. Il signe l’ouverture de la saison 2019 pour le matériel américain. Et, comme actuellement ce marché représente à vue de nez 80-90% du marché mondial je ne pouvais pas louper l’occasion de vous en parler !
So I'm going to reveal the new 2019 wakeboarding releases and shoes that caught my eye.
For wakeboards
The trend of riding a big board is still going strong for this 2019 season. Many wakeboard models are getting the small sizes removed to add an extra size.
By the way, tell me what you think in the comments. Do you like to ride big boards, what do you get out of it?
For my part I ride between 144/145. I find that this is the right compromise for me. I am 1m77/69kg. I've noticed that I'm much more stable when I receive a kicker and also on the modules it's more comfortable because I have a bigger riding area. Now when it comes to blocking, it's harder to dive the board underwater and you have to be more physical.

- Rhythm is the new board for 2019. It will be available in 140 and 145cm

Design side
we are this year on much more sober stuff than the previous years. Just look at the Tao from liquid force! Last year they had cracked. This year they are releasing something much softer.
At Slingshot it's the same, more sober this year. Wesley Mark Jacobsen has calmed down on the design. The designs are more refined with less intense colors than last year.
So the trendy colors of wake 2019 will be between Brown/sand/wood and black which remains a safe value.
Technological developments
2019 should not be the year of innovation on the hardware side. On the durability side either. Despite all the brochures and innovations I read on the manufacturers' websites, I didn't see anywhere that they were going to improve the durability of wakeboards.

- Ronix Kinetic Project. The 2 pro models of Dominik Hernler.
- The obrien THE FIX
- The Slingshot Bishop which is the pro model of Blake Bishop who enters this year in the international team. I would like to see if there is a difference with the solo or if it is just the top sheet that changes.

Les Chausses
Et cette année c’est de ce côté la que les grandes marques vont se battre. Car y’a de la paire !
In my opinion, this is the most promising market for wakeboarding today. Everyone is looking for comfort and performance in their boots and the brands have understood this. They do not hesitate to put the means and you will see.
I talked to you last year about the weight of the shoes. This year Slingshot announces -20% of weight on the whole range. It seems that they heard my prayers ^^'.
Coté liquid Force, ils sortent 2 nouveaux modèles les Pulse et les PEAK qui vont avec le wakeboard du même nom. Seul hic, vous devez forcement acheter un wakeboard liquid force car le système de fixation 4D est propriétaire et ne s’adapte pas sur une board Slingshot par exemple. Et ça, personnellement je n’aime pas.
Enfin, je pense que Shredtown en a inspiré plus d’une marque car cette année Ronix nous sort aussi une paire de chausse de l’espace avec des super straps ! j’espère juste qu’ils n’ont pas déposé le nom pour ces straps… Je vous laisse juger par vous même du modèle homme et du modèle femme.
The Ronix are nevertheless very comfortable shoes so I'll see how it goes during the tests.
